Dr. Kusa was born in a coastal town by the Atlantic Ocean in Africa. During the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, the town was a middleman between European traders on the coast and traders from the hinterland. While he was growing up with pigs, goats, chicken, dogs, and cats all around the house as one family, he always wanted to care for these creatures.
He graduated from the Moscow Veterinary Academy in 1992 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and worked in small animal dynamic practice in Europe for over 15 years before moving to Winnipeg. Here he took more training in human diagnostic medical sonography and is both American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer. He briefly worked at Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg performing diagnostic ultrasound on humans before proceeding to get his veterinary licensure in Canada. He performs ultrasound examinations on pets at other veterinary clinics in Winnipeg and enjoys diagnostics including imaging. He has being performing ultrasound examinations at Seven Oaks since 2017 before finally joining the Seven Oaks Veterinary Team in 2023 and he is a wonderful addition to the team. He lives with his family and a British blue shorthair domestic cat “Lucy”. While not working, he loves fishing, outdoor events, travelling and volunteering in his local church.

Dr. Raymond Reboja was born and raised in Winnipeg until age 5 when his parents moved to the Philippines with him at a very young age. While growing up around animals there - dogs, pigs and chickens, he developed a kin interest in becoming a veterinarian! He graduated from the veterinary school in the Philippines in 2013, started a career as a swine and poultry practitioner, then as a mixed animal practitioner focusing on small animals, cattle and equine. He moved back to where he was born (Winnipeg) in 2014 and hence focus on our beloved dogs and cats. As a veterinarian, Dr. Reboja enjoys the challenge of trying to come up with solutions as well as creating bonds with our awesome patients and clients. He also enjoys continuously learning about ways to improve quality of veterinary care as he strongly believes that to find a sense of fulfillment in life; we must push ourselves to improve every day.

Outside of work, he spends time with his furry friends - Shasta, a mix breed dog; Nacho, one eyed Chihuahua; Eggnog and Mumu , both domestic shorthair cats, and hanging out with family and friends, camping, playing basketball, running, attending concerts or sporting events!
